His warrior’s path began in 2014, defending the country as part of the Aidar territorial defense volunteer battalion. During the full-scale war, he voluntarily went to defend the Motherland in the ranks of the 44th Separate Rifle Battalion. After training, he carried out combat missions in the Donetsk region: Pokrovske and Bakhmut. In 2022, he took part in the liberation of settlements in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. He received a commemorative distinction and the medal “For Courage and the Defense of the Native State (May 25–July 28, 2022, Pokrovske village)” from the 44th Separate Rifle Battalion. He held combat veteran status and was a war veteran, as confirmed by the combat veteran ID and the war veteran’s medal. “My husband was a courageous, determined, and brave warrior. More than once he saved his brothers-in-arms, who to this day continue to defend our Motherland, and he also evacuated the bodies of fallen brothers-in-arms so their families could say a достойне farewell to their heroes. His brothers-in-arms went into battle boldly, knowing that Serhii was рядом and would not betray them on the battlefield.
