"ARKADA"

Yaroslav was born in the village of Chornianka, Kakhovka district, Kherson Oblast. He finished school and enrolled at the Kherson Maritime College, where he managed to complete one year of study. When the full-scale invasion began, Yaroslav was only 18. He left the occupied territory of Kherson Oblast in order to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2023, he underwent training in the United Kingdom, mastering the specialty of reconnaissance assault soldier, after which he joined the 24th Separate Assault Battalion “Aidar.” He fought in Donetsk Oblast on the Bakhmut axis. He was wounded, underwent treatment, and returned to the front line. He mastered unmanned reconnaissance systems and served as a squad commander. He was awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class, and posthumously the Order “For Courage,” 2nd Class. He also received the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine medal “For Wounds” and the commemorative badge of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion “Aidar.” He saved the lives of brothers-in-arms on the battlefield. Yaroslav was a man with firm principles who always stood by his views. He was calm, sociable, intelligent, purposeful, and had a strong sense of justice. He was killed in battle for the freedom and independence of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission near Ivanivske, Bakhmut district, Donetsk Oblast, on 2 July 2024. Forever in our hearts.
