Biography:
A brave warrior and an experienced reconnaissance soldier. During one mission, he volunteered to go and rescue his brothers-in-arms in an extremely difficult situation—one where even an assault group could not get through, because the conditions were critical and required a far greater advantage in strength. There were almost no chances of survival. Everyone understood that, in that situation, it would be impossible to evacuate their wounded without losses.
But Babai was ready to take the risk, no matter what.
Oleksandr was killed in battle with a weapon in his hands, from injuries incompatible with life. While the wounded men were being brought out, he stayed there and continued to cover them with fire. Even while wounded, he kept fighting—saving his brothers-in-arms.
