Biography:
On September 21, the SPC family suffered another irreparable loss.
While carrying out a combat mission, as a result of the wounds he sustained, our brother-in-arms Denys “Birch” Herasymov was killed while serving with the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov.”
Denys entered the football-hooligan scene, like many young guys, through training sessions led by Sashko “Trener” Klushyn. He quickly became passionate about it and took part in many fights over the past few years. He was sincere and open; he made up for his shyness with stubborn determination, and step by step—steadily—moved toward what he wanted.
Den was the youngest member of the SPC division, and despite his age, he voluntarily stood up to defend Kharkiv from the very first day of the full-scale invasion. He remained with our unit during the most difficult periods for the city and, in every way he could, helped brothers-in-arms from the 92nd Brigade defend and liberate the region. He dreamed of continuing his service with the Beshketnyky of Sirko, but because of his young age he could not join the unit he wanted.
He had no intention of stopping. He went to a training course with the “Azov” Brigade to learn from the best and become better himself. After completing the training, he joined the brigade’s 3rd Battalion, where he became a grenadier.
🇺🇦 Rest, my friend—now we have something to learn from you.
Denys “Birch” Herasymov. Azov. SPC division. In the ranks!
