Senior Soldier, technician of the maintenance and repair section for specialized electrical equipment, Special Works Platoon, 2nd Repair Company, Repair and Recovery Battalion, 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Serhii Oleksiiovych remained faithful to his military oath and duty until his last breath. On Sunday, 8 February 2026, near Kostiantynivka in Kramatorsk district, his life was cut short during enemy artillery shelling. On that dark day, the sky over Donetsk Oblast shook with explosions, and the earth received some of its finest sons. Disregarding the laws and customs of war, the enemy used toxic substances dropped from drones. This deadly and treacherous attack proved fatal for Serhii and his brothers-in-arms. On 8 February, contact with his family was also lost. Anxiety filled the home as uncertainty gripped their hearts. Serhii died heroically as a Warrior—courageously carrying out his duty to the end. He held the line, repaired and restored equipment, giving machines a second life so they could save others. And he gave his own life—for Ukraine, for peace, and for the future of his daughters. His heart stopped on the battlefield, but his love for his family, for his native Khorol region, and for Ukraine will live forever. His bright memory will live in the hearts of his fellow countrymen, in the gratitude of his community, and in the history of his native land. Glory to Ukraine!
