Biography:
From 2014 to 2015, he carried out combat missions in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone as part of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From the first day of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, he returned to the ranks of the 80th Brigade together with his brothers-in-arms. He fought the occupiers in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.
Before the war, he was the director of one of the stores in the Foxtrot retail chain. In the military, he served as an aerial reconnaissance operator.
“According to the battalion leadership and his brothers-in-arms, Oleh made a very significant contribution to the organization of aerial reconnaissance. He was a true warrior, a man of his word, a man of courage—an example of resilience and strength of spirit. He had big plans for the future and many ideas on how to fight the enemy more effectively and improve aerial reconnaissance. He was always learning and developing. Now his brothers-in-arms and students are implementing his plans and ideas at the front. After Oleh’s death, a dedicated aerial reconnaissance unit was formed in his battalion and was named in honor of its commander—‘Foxtrot.’”
He was killed on April 26, 2023, near Ivanivske, on the Bakhmut front.
The Hero was laid to rest at the Mars Field of Lychakiv Cemetery in his hometown of Lviv.
Foxtrot, on his shield!
