He was killed on 21 January 2023 near Bakhmut at the age of 19, while defending positions during an enemy assault.

From the beginning of the full-scale war, he wanted to defend the country, but due to his age he was refused. After the death of his uncle, Mykhailo still managed to join the special unit “KRAKEN” @kraken.special.unit.
