Biography:
Stanislav “Hans” Romanenko was a serviceman, a musician, and a true patriot.
16 February 1995 – 7 March 2025
He was from the village of Strumivka in Volyn. He studied at Pidhaitsi Lyceum and earned a degree at the West Ukrainian National University in Finance, Banking, and Insurance.
In 2014, he began defending Ukraine in the ranks of “Azov”. He took part in the ATO, and with the start of the full-scale war he volunteered; later, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the Commander of an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Platoon and received the rank of Junior Lieutenant.
Creativity was part of his soul. He wrote lyrics and songs under the stage name Ack UA. His body of work includes 17 tracks, six of which were released on the album “Dity viiny” (“Children of War”)—and many more are still awaiting release. These are songs from the front: about pain, hope, and love for the Motherland.
Friends remember “Hans” as a person with a big heart, determination, and dignity—as a father and brother-in-arms who lived honestly. Andrii Tymchuk from the band “Flyza” noted that his songs made people listen and think—because it was the truth.
On 7 March 2025, near Dobropillia in Donetsk region, Stanislav was killed. He was 30. On 11 March, he was laid to rest in his native Strumivka. He is survived by his wife Iryna, his daughter Emma, and two brothers.
His music must be heard.
His name must live on.
