Biography:

Fighter Stanislav Halkin, call sign “KAKHA,” was killed on October 11, 2022, in a battle against Russian occupying forces while defending Kharkiv Oblast. He was 33 years old.

Stanislav was born in the city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. He received his education and lived and worked in his hometown. He practiced boxing and served as an instructor in combat training and shooting. He fought in the ATO and, in 2015, took part in the Shyrokyne operation near Mariupol.

With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Stanislav joined the special unit “KRAKEN,” which is subordinated to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. He participated in the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast from the occupiers.

“Heroes do not die—heroes remain in our memory forever. From the first day of the aggressor’s invasion, Stanislav defended our land and held back the enemy until the very end… He was an only son, a best friend, and he dreamed of building a strong family and having a child. He was a person like each of us. He gave his life to save the lives of Ukrainians! Forever in our memory and in the history of the country!” — wrote the Berdiansk City Military Administration on its page.

“A brave and principled warrior,” — said his brother-in-arms Yevhen.

Stanislav is survived by his mother and his beloved girlfriend.
