Biography:

Oleh was born in the city of Vinnytsia. From childhood, he dreamed of serving in the army, wanting to defend his country. He trained in various sports: boxing, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, as well as dancing. He studied at Lyceum No. 29 and actively took part in civic initiatives.

At the age of 14, Oleh joined the public organization “Edelveis,” where he worked on educational outreach and organized events honoring Ukrainian heroes. He also regularly visited children’s homes and animal shelters.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, Oleh joined the Society for the Promotion of Defense, preparing for service. As soon as he turned 18, he joined the “Revansh” tactical group and went to the front line.

Brothers-in-arms recall that even at the beginning of his service, when he was still very young, Oleh showed determination and became a focused fighter. He quickly learned tactics and combat skills, becoming a brave reconnaissance scout.

He was always close to his friends—ready to support them, listen, and help in any situation. His humor and love of life, even in the most difficult moments, warmed the hearts of everyone around him. Oleh was courageous, brave, and faithful to his ideals—always knowing what he wanted and stubbornly moving toward his goals, while never forgetting about those close to him.

On 14 July 2023, Oleh was killed while carrying out a combat mission in Kherson region.

He was posthumously awarded a distinction of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine for courage in carrying out special tasks. He was buried in Vinnytsia on the Alley of Glory.

Today is 23 March, and Oleh would have turned 21—but he is forever 19.
Too little for this world, yet enough to leave light within it. His heart held more life than many do in an entire century, and although his path was cut short far too early, the memory of him will live on in those he touched.
