Biography:
Words from a Brother-in-Arms:
…His Greek roots and temperament shaped his destiny—from early childhood, as he grew up and gazed into the distance of the sea horizon, seeing his life there. Later, that far-off sea horizon made him a sea wolf. A mechanic who picked things up on the fly from the very first days, he began his service as a simple engine man. A great love of work and of the state was instilled by his parents. Devotion to his duty, exceptional talent, and responsibility were instilled by his father, a rescuer. During an operation to ferry warriors to Azovstal from the seaport, his life was cut short by two enemy ATGM missiles.
An eternity in which he saw the meaning of life—an eternity that will remain in our memory forever, as he himself remains forever with the sea.
He was born on June 1, 1991, in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk Region. He studied at Municipal Secondary School No. 7 and later graduated from the Mariupol Electromechanical Technical School, earning the qualification of an electromechanic. He later obtained a higher education degree at the O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv.
He dedicated himself to service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he took part in the battles for Mariupol as part of a group of border guards who undertook the task of transporting the wounded to the hospital at the Azovstal plant. On April 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission, an enemy missile struck the boat he was using to transport the wounded.
He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class.
He is survived by his parents, wife, son, and daughter.
