Biography:

He was born in Ruska Lozova, in Kharkiv region. From his youth—Maidan, the Kharkiv Euromaidan, and the defense of the city from separatists. He served in the UDC “Pravyi Sektor” until the end of 2018. Later he worked at a factory, trained young people, and was active in civic life. He loved football, military affairs, drawing and tattoos, fishing, and the quiet of the forest. He enrolled at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, but left his studies when war came to our home.

On February 24, 2022, he took his family to a safe place and returned to defend Kharkiv region. In March, he joined the special unit “Kraken.” He took part in the liberation of Ruska Lozova, Pytomnyk, Balakliia, Kupiansk, Izium, and other settlements. He was always the first to rush into battle, took part in most combat missions, and remained a modest and kind person who simply did his job.

On October 11, 2022, Maksym was killed in action in a battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Tabaivka, Kharkiv region. He was 25. He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class. He was cremated in Kharkiv.

“It’s low and not manly to abandon your country and your city to the enemy. I fight for the future of Ukraine, my family, and Ukrainians. If you woke up today, can hug your child, go to the store, and simply live—then it means we are doing everything right,” said Miller.

He was a warrior and a citizen: brave, honest, compassionate, and fair. He gave his life so that we could live in a free Ukraine. We remember. We fight. We win—for Maksym and for all our Defenders. Eternal glory!
