Biography:

On the night of 29 July 2022, an explosion occurred on the territory of a former penal colony in the occupied settlement of Olenivka in Donetsk Oblast. As a result, the building where the occupiers were holding Ukrainian prisoners of war — servicemen evacuated from “Azovstal” in Mariupol — was destroyed. After going through the hell of Mariupol, he was executed in captivity together with his brothers-in-arms.

During his lifetime, he was awarded the President of Ukraine distinction “For Participation in the ATO” and the Order “For Courage”, 3rd Class. Posthumously, he was awarded the Order “For Courage”, 2nd Class.

As a teenager, Volodymyr already took part in various national-patriotic events and had a clear intention in his heart to join “Azov”. This was his goal, which he pursued with confidence. That is why, when Volodymyr turned 18, he volunteered for “Azov”. In “Azov”, they immediately noticed MINFIN, because even at 18 he was highly motivated and eager to learn new things and achieve new goals in military service.

MINFIN always understood that the time would come when a new phase of the war with Russia would begin. The first phase for him started in 2014 with the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea; the second began on 24 February 2022.

MINFIN was young, but very brave. During the heavy fighting in Mariupol, he did not withdraw into himself and carried out combat tasks to the very end — defending the city, destroying the enemy, and rescuing the wounded while risking his own life.

In our memory, MINFIN will forever remain principled, cheerful, brave, sincere, courageous, kind, and a man of his word — someone who always supported and helped those who needed it. Someone who shared his experience and knowledge with the guys who, inspired by him, joined the ranks of defenders. Someone who would always feed street cats and drop everything to help. A deeply loving father who dreamed of traveling across Ukraine with his son and conquering mountains.

This warrior went through the hell of Mariupol. The enemy could not destroy him in battle, so it destroyed him treacherously — by staging a terrorist attack in Olenivka.
