In 2024, he graduated from the Mechanical and Technological College in Odesa with a specialization as a mechanic in grain-elevator technologies. In December of the same year, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From January 2024, he served as part of the 2nd team of the 1st detachment of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center. He took part in missions on the islands of the Dnipro River delta in Kherson Oblast. In April, he destroyed an enemy position near Berehove. In May, he helped secure control over the south-western coastline of Nestyha Island. From August, he took part in combat operations in Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation. Maksym was an SSO group engineer whose professionalism and resolve saved the lives of many fellow soldiers. In September, he participated in an ambush against enemy vehicles near Obukhivka. In October, he led the evacuation of 16 fighters from encirclement during an enemy offensive on Zelenyi Shliakh and Novoivanivka. In November, he took part in the destruction of an enemy landing force in Pohrebky. On November 26, 2024, during the assault on enemy positions near Kruhlenkoye, he sustained fatal wounds. He remained faithful to his oath to his last breath.
