Biography:
“My heart is steel—my blood is Azov.”
In the battles near Bakhmut, he sacrificed his own shelter and his life to save a wounded brother-in-arms and the medic providing him with care.
He was born on July 17, 1994, in the city of Bila Tserkva.
He graduated from School No. 11 and later studied at the Bila Tserkva Technical College.
He was passionate about rock music, archery, and was interested in computer technology.
He took part in the Revolution of Dignity. From 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the ranks of the Azov Regiment.
He fought in the Donetsk region and took part in the liberation of Mariupol. In 2016, he completed training at the Colonel Yevhen Konovalets Military School and received the rank of Sergeant.
From 2020, he served as an instructor in fighter training within the National Corps.
With the beginning of the full-scale war, Oleksandr went to Kyiv, where he was appointed Squad Leader of the Observation Platoon of the Reconnaissance Company of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine—at that time still “Azov” SSO, military unit A4638. He took part in the defense of the capital and the region, for which he was awarded the medal “For the Defense of Kyiv.”
He was killed on May 8, 2023, while saving a wounded brother-in-arms who was receiving medical aid: he gave up his place in the shelter. He himself sustained a fatal wound as a result of enemy shelling.
The funeral took place on May 15, 2023. He was laid to rest on the Heroes’ Alley at Sukhoiarskyi Cemetery. He is survived by his fiancée. His mother passed away four months after the death of her son. The warrior’s father died in 2019.
