"ROSS"
Stadnyk Rostyslav Eduardovych
02.03.1997 - 15.02.2023
1st Separate Mechanized Battalion, 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade; Honor Movement
Biography:
Rostyslav was born on 2 March 1997 in the village of Kolodyste, Cherkasy Oblast. He graduated from Bila Tserkva School No. 20 and the State University of Information and Communication Technologies. In civilian life, he worked as an HR manager at Kyivoblgaz JSC.
He was an active civic activist, a member of the National Corps and the youth movement Honor, and a co-founder of the Ukrainian brand Teivaz—which, without Rostyslav, might have remained only an idea on paper. He opposed illegal construction projects.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he helped liberate Kyiv Oblast from the occupying forces as part of the Honor movement. He later joined the unit of the legendary Dmytro Kotsiubailo, “Da Vinci,” and took part in forming and developing the unit that later became the 1st Separate Mechanized Battalion of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He also took part in the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast.
He was exceptionally sincere, a good friend, and a true patriot of his homeland—a person who represented the best of the nation. He had a strong civic position, took part in many initiatives, loved Kyiv, and did everything he could for the city. He never stood aside when help was needed. He lived a healthy lifestyle and was a genuine example to everyone around him.
“ROSS” was killed on 15 February 2023 as a result of a missile strike on his unit’s positions on the outskirts of Lyman, Donetsk Oblast. The warrior will forever be 25.
Rostyslav was buried in Bila Tserkva.
He was posthumously awarded the “Da Vinci Cross” badge for devotion to the Ukrainian national idea and conscientious service to the people and the ideals of victory.
