After the start of the full-scale invasion, at the age of 20, he joined “Azov,” successfully completed basic combat training (BkBP), and was assigned to the 3rd Company of the 1st Battalion. Ruslan served as a grenadier and stood out for his professionalism. He carried out his first combat missions on the Zaporizhzhia axis near the settlement of Mala Tokmachka on May 20, 2023. Even though it was his first combat deployment, Ruslan showed exceptional courage in carrying out his missions. In early August 2023, together with his unit, he conducted stabilization operations in Serebrianske Forestry, carrying out assault and defensive actions. Later, he joined the reconnaissance platoon of the 1st Battalion, diligently fulfilled assigned tasks, and was noted for his initiative. While performing a night combat mission on March 21, 2024, he sustained a fatal wound. To all his fellow soldiers, he was a loyal friend, a man of honor, and a brave warrior—someone distinguished by his positivity and strong human values.
