Words from a brother-in-arms:

On March 14, 2024, he was heroically killed on the battlefield.

Yehor lived his life, but when war came to our land, he showed courage and stood up to defend the country in the ranks of the Kraken Special Unit. @kraken.special.unit

He was a positive guy—he never let anyone sink into sadness.

Before the war, he trained professionally in MMA and competed in Ukrainian championships.

His dream was for the war to end, and to open his own business…

Friend “Shark,” on his shield 🛡️

Last year, during an operation called the “Kupiansk Purgatory,” Shark was part of my assault group, holding the defense at one of the positions. The position was extremely unfavorable and unprepared for defense—it was on the edge of a treeline, and by the time we reached it, it was already partially encircled. One morning, headquarters relayed over the radio that a mechanized assault in our direction was possible. We began preparing all available anti-armor weapons to destroy the enemy.

At one point, I went to the firing slit where Shark was holding his sector, and we had the following exchange:
Shark: “Gideon, can I take the first enemy tank that comes our way?”
I just smiled and replied: “Friend, the first one is mine—and you take the next.”

That is how I remember Shark: young, daring, and fearless. Despite his age, Shark was a true warrior and a patriot of his country. He died like a warrior, with a weapon in his hands.
Rest in peace, friend. We remember you.
