Biography:

Vsevolod Tatkov joined the Territorial Defence of the city of Kharkiv immediately after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. At that time, he had just turned 18. At the Department of Machine Parts and Hydropneumatic Systems of KhPI, he managed to study for only half a year. Vsevolod was among those who helped deal with the aftermath of the shelling of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration building, and then, after completing training, he joined the special unit “KRAKEN.”

He took part in the assault and liberation of the settlements of Ruska Lozova, Pytomnyk, Mali Prokhody, and Velyki Prokhody, as well as the liberation operation in Balakliia, Kupiansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Savyntsi. Later, he was transferred as a combat medic to the medical evacuation crew of the “KRAKEN” special unit. He repeatedly saved the lives of his brothers-in-arms and carried wounded servicemen from the battlefield in Donetsk Oblast.

Vsevolod Tatkov was killed on July 4, 2023, while carrying out a special mission to free and evacuate wounded brothers-in-arms from the “zero line” under encirclement in Donetsk Oblast, in the area of the city of Bakhmut, near the village of Berkhivka. The cause of death was blast trauma.

“Vsevolod was a true warrior—a man of courage and determination. He was always the first to volunteer for the most dangerous missions, risking his own life,” his fellow fighters said.

He risked his life, faced fear with bravery, and defended the right of all Ukrainians to live safely in an independent state—giving his life for it.
