Oleh was born on 16 January 2003 in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv Oblast. He grew up a sincere, kind, and hardworking young man. He always helped his family, was not afraid of work, and learned responsibility early. He studied at a vocational school and qualified as a painter-plasterer. He had skilled hands and knew how to create order and comfort wherever he was. But above all, he had tremendous strength of spirit—the kind of inner resolve that does not allow a person to stand aside when their homeland needs protection. Oleh began his military path in 2020 with compulsory service. The army became not merely a duty for him but a conscious choice. In 2023, he signed a contract and continued serving in the National Guard of Ukraine. His brothers-in-arms remember him as dependable, resilient, and brave—someone they could rely on at the hardest moment. In March 2025, Oleh went to carry out combat missions directly on the front line. He knew it was dangerous. He knew he might not return. Yet he went anyway, because he could not do otherwise. He believed he had to stand for his people, his native land, and Ukraine’s future. On 5 July 2025, near the city of Rodynske, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk Oblast, Oleh performed his final act of courage while carrying out a combat mission. Under intense shelling and enemy FPV-drone attacks, he evacuated a severely wounded brother-in-arms. He did not leave him behind. He did not retreat. He lifted him onto his back and carried him through the fire, meter by meter, under explosions and bullets. He got him out. He saved his life. His brother-in-arms survived. Oleh did not. He gave the most precious thing—his own life—for another person. That is true heroism: quiet, without grand words, yet immeasurably great. He will forever be 22. Forever young. Forever strong. Forever in the ranks. This is how he will be remembered—smiling, sincere, courageous, the one who always went first and covered others. A man of honor. A son. A friend. A brother-in-arms. A defender. Heroes do not die. They become our memory, our conscience, and our sky. Bright memory and eternal glory to the Hero of Ukraine.
